HOMIE

Wandered into the heart like a
lover
Staying stubbornly in the heart
like a leech upon the skin
Not letting go even through the
period of one’s trial
Loving tenderly like a dove
Waiting patiently like a lion for
its prey
People said your homie is bad,
But I said never say anything bad
about my homie for there’s none like him
Difficult moments crawled in and
stole on us like a thief,
But when I needed to cling to
homie in the dark,
Nowhere was he to be found;
I felt a clinch of betrayal upon
my soul,
I felt have been pushed down the
cliff and he saved himself
For the first time, I felt people
where right after all,
For he left when we needed to be
saved;
For the first time, I woke up to
speak badly of my homie,
My dear homie whom I loved more than
my heart
Goodbye homie,
For you left me beneath the cliff
downfall,
For without a HOMIE, I would rise
again.
