Why do ladies cry?
Making my heart wonder, Why?
As though they’ve got tons of onions in their eyes;
Never for once do they fail to cry,
Even in trying to act rigid and tough- such an obvious lie,
The question keeps echoing- Why do Ladies Cry?
Why do ladies cry?
Making my heart wonder, why?
Weaker vessels, the Lord did say,
Yet they act all tough
And consternate my human guts, such sly!
Why do ladies cry?
Still my heart wonders, why?
A soft heart and a faithful fickling emotion is what they’ve got,
Outwardly tough in order to survive,
All of life’s tripling troubles,
Yet they cry,
With the question in mind –
I ask why do ladies cry?
