Sweat, tears and blood,
They’re finally at the finals,
The crowd is cheering them,
All they’ve ever wanted.
One last hurdle to jump,
One last battle to fight,
One last race to run,
90minutes to glory.
Trophy beckoning to them,
Heavens beckoning to them,
They answered heaven’s call.
The last and final call.
One bright morning when my work is over,
I will fly away home.
Theirs weren’t over,
But they flew away home.
Sweats and blood,
Tears and pains,
It ended not in gain,
But in the grave.
