MIRROR'S CORNER

WE WERE THE ONES WHO SHOT THE GUNS

While the birds started flying
Above the noisy waters
And the fishes started swimming
Below the calm skies,
We were the ones
Who shot the guns.

While the trees stopped dancing
To the sounds of the dry winds
And the leaves started changing skin
To that of the little flowers,
We were the ones
Who shot the guns.

While the lions folded their arms
To watch the ants rule
And the cats sat in peace
As the rats searched the house,
We were the ones
Who shot the guns.

While the sky remained blue
At the day and at the night,
And the soil remained brown
At the day and at the night,
We were the ones
Who shot the guns.

While the watchmen were asleep
At the dead of the night
And the thieves came around
To snatch away their clothing,
We were the ones
Who shot the guns.

While the mouth got tired
Of letting out meaningless cries
And the nose got scared
Of perceiving sorrows,
We were the ones
Who shot the guns.

While the eyes got sick
Of manufacturing salty waters
And the ears got weary
Of listening to deafening complaints,
We were the ones
Who shot the guns.

While the clock kept moving
During the bad days
And the time was changed
For the arrival of the good days,
We were the ones
Who shot the guns.
