This book expressively illustrates the unsavoury life paths of an average Nigerian child from being an innocent baby to a man whose values have been decimated by ineffective leadership, moronic policies and actions, thereby exposing him to the “wild” world of criminals where he receives the title, “The Hoodlum”. The book further chronicles the #EndSars events, how the movement swept the country and how patriots were labelled hoodlums; hoodlums were eulogized as patriots.
No doubt, the author has done justice to history by writing on the #endsars protests of October 2020, which rocked major cities in Nigeria for ten days and shook the government to its foundation.
In view of the vital information contained in this book and the relevance of the message of the author, I am compelled to recommend the book to all Nigerians who are desirous of ending police brutality, impunity, corruption and abuse of office in the country.
